The Difference

Most fragrances contains alcohol. Ours doesn't.

Open almost any bottle on the shelf and the first ingredient is alcohol. It's what makes a spray flash — that sharp opening burst — and it's also why the scent can be gone by lunch, why it stings on skin, and why it dries out in tropical heat.

We took the alcohol out and built the scent on oil. It opens quieter and develops slower — then it stays. This is a different kind of fragrance, made for the way you actually wear it.

So what is an Oil de Parfum?

An Oil de Parfum is fragrance suspended in oil instead of alcohol, in a spray bottle. Same easy application you already know — it just behaves differently once it's on your skin.

A typical alcohol spray

Loud, then gone

  • Big opening burst, fast fade
  • Alcohol can sting and dry the skin
  • Evaporates faster in heat
  • Projects into the room

Analogue Apotik · oil-based

Close, and lasting

  • Opens softly, develops through the day
  • No alcohol — no sting, no dryness
  • Holds up in tropical heat
  • Sits close to the skin — yours to discover, theirs to lean in for

Why we leave the alcohol out

Less is the point

Taking the alcohol out isn't a gimmick — it changes how the fragrance feels, lasts, and sits on your skin.

feature-item-1
No sting

Nothing sharp on sensitive or freshly shaved skin.

feature-item-2
Lasts longer

A full day of wear from one morning application.

feature-item-3
No dryness

Oil conditions the skin instead of drying it out.

feature-item-4
Stays close

Develops slowly on warm skin instead of burning off.

Longevity, stated honestly

How long it lasts?

Up to 7 hours on skin

Exactly how long depends on your skin chemistry — that's true of any fragrance. An oil base gives you a full day of close, evolving wear from a morning application. We won't promise more than that, because we don't need to.

How to wear it?

A spray on each wrist — the warmth carries the scent. The sides of the neck, where you'd check a pulse. The inner elbows, for a softer trail of movement.

AVOID SPRAYING ON CLOTHES. OIL BASED FRAGRANCES WILL STAIN THEM.

Analogue Apotik is a small fragrance house built on the spirit of the old apothecaries — mixed by hand, in small batches, by people who trust their senses. We've been doing this since 2015. Same hands, same room, same standard.

Before you ask

The honest answers

Without alcohol, will it actually project?

It projects differently. An oil base sits closer to the skin rather than filling a room — so it's discovered up close, and it lasts. Many people find it gets noticed more, not less, by the people actually near them.

Is "alcohol-free" real, or just marketing?

It's the whole formula, not a label. The fragrance is built on oil from the start — no denatured alcohol, no perfumer's alcohol hiding in the ingredients. That's why there's no sting and no dryness.

Will it stain my clothes?

It can, if you spray it on fabric — which is why we say to apply it to skin only. On pulse points it's exactly where an oil parfum is meant to live, and it won't mark anything.

I have sensitive skin. Is it safe for me?

The alcohol-free base is gentler than a conventional spray — no sharp sting, no drying. As with any fragrance, patch-test on your inner arm first if your skin reacts easily.
